Founded in 1957, Penn Singers has evolved from an all female group (until
1971) to Penn’s premier Light Opera Company, performing fully-staged
Gilbert and Sullivan light operas in the spring since 1972. We have
found our niche in the Penn community by presenting spring productions
such as Iolanthe, and are pleased to keep alive classically-oriented
musical theater. While funded by the University of Pennsylvania, Penn
Singers also depends on your support. Donations not only ensure quality
productions, but also fund the purchase of music, performance spaces,
and numerous other activities for our members.
